The primary functions of the sub-division –
- Is to compile, analyze, and disseminate accurate, timely and credible tourism statistics which include arrival statistics and surveys for planning and development of the Namibian tourism sector.
- It deals with the conservation of natural resources in tourism.
Tourist arrivals statistics report – the publication provides tourist arrivals statistics which can be used for planning, budgeting and evaluation of tourism programs and projects as well as for general use purpose.
Exit survey – aims to evaluate the quality and visitors satisfaction, it further provide information on travel behavior patterns and expenditures.
Domestic survey - This study aimed at determining the travel and spending behaviors of domestic tourists both at household and trip levels.
