We have seen how wildlife numbers have declined over most parts of the world including in Africa. Most of the drivers of past wildlife declines are still present and relevant today, and we have to find mechanisms to stop the further decline of wildlife by adopting models that work for both wildlife and people on whose land wildlife occurs.
